# Wavulate FFmpeg source-status note

**Assessment date:** 2026-10-24
**Scope:** The Wavulate Windows installer dated 2026-10-22 and the FFmpeg executable extracted from that installer.
**Purpose:** Technical disclosure for readers. This is not legal advice or formal release clearance.

## Identified build

- Installer: `Wavulate-Setup-0.1.0-beta-20261022.exe`
- Installer SHA-256: `39DF7B6988B9D04F1C5BD072E537F98ED9E81CDCBDBBB731B866688E0A8796AB`
- Bundled FFmpeg: `6.1.1-essentials_build-www.gyan.dev`
- Extracted FFmpeg SHA-256: `04E1307997530F9CF2FE35CBA2CA7E8875CA91DA02F89D6C7243DF819C94AD00`
- FFmpeg build configuration identifies GPL components; the bundled FFmpeg distribution reports GPL-3.0-or-later.

## Technical finding

Using the existing October 22 source candidate, the October 24 readiness evidence, Gyan’s build manifest, and previously verified research, the review did **not** identify a specific GPL-required source file, build-control script, or compilation/installation instruction that is demonstrably missing from the assembled candidate.

That narrow finding is not confirmation that the candidate is complete. The evidence leaves historical build controls, exact recipe and patch applicability, full source closure, some toolchain/support classifications, and notice applicability unresolved. Unknown historical details are not by themselves proof that a required item is absent.

## Recipient access and limitations

The assembled source candidate remains a local draft. A public, tested, no-charge source URL has not been activated as part of this assessment. This note is not a source archive and does not itself satisfy any source-access obligation. No legal opinion is offered on GPL coverage, combined-work interpretation, or codec patent licensing. AVC/H.264 and HEVC/H.265 patent matters are separate from this technical source review.

**Practical status:** no specific demonstrable missing source item was found in the evidence reviewed; overall corresponding-source completeness and recipient access are **not established**. Obtain qualified legal review before making a commercial-release clearance claim.
